Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking experienced and qualified Linespersons to join our dynamic teams across multiple locations including Poole, New Forest, Yeovil, Salisbury, West London, Slough, Reading, Swindon, Melksham, Andover, Oxford, Portsmouth, Isle of Wight, Basingstoke, Aldershot, and Petersfield. This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive salary around £50,000 OTE with opportunities for skill development and career progression within a sustainable energy sector.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform construction and maintenance tasks on electrical networks ranging from low voltage (LV) up to 11/33kV systems.
- Ensure the safety of yourself and teammates, upholding a strong culture of safety in all activities.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, providing reliable service to customers during critical times.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions and be available for out-of-hours standby duties, including short-notice storm response.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven background as an Electrical Linesperson with relevant industry experience.
- Possession of DNO electrical qualifications applicable within the UK or equivalent overseas certifications, covering LV, HV, 11kV, and 33kV overhead lines.
- Desirable experience or accreditation in 11kV Live Line working.
- Strong knowledge of construction, operation, and repair of electrical equipment.
- Excellent safety awareness and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Flexibility to undertake out-of-hours standby shifts and rapid deployment during adverse weather.
- Must hold a full UK driving license.
