Role Overview

Tesco Ireland seeks a dedicated Line Manager for its Ashbourne store, responsible for guiding a department and its team to consistently deliver excellent shopping experiences for customers. The role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to colleague development, and a passion for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor your team to ensure top-notch service, maintain standards, and product availability to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve departmental performance targets and key indicators.
  • Make daily decisions that empower your team to perform effectively.
  • Implement comprehensive training plans so colleagues are properly trained, validated, and up-to-date.
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of all departmental processes, routines, and systems on schedule.
  • Plan and execute seasonal, promotional, and trade activities to maximize sales impact and visual presentation.
  • Oversee safe and compliant operational routines, addressing any compliance issues proactively.
  • Encourage colleagues to understand their objectives and engage in regular performance reviews, career conversations, and maintain live personal development plans.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and constructive feedback to develop team skills.
  • Empower your team to address behavioral issues constructively to improve the shopping environment.
  • Foster an environment that supports innovation and personal growth.

  • Ensure prioritization of customer needs in all tasks, including product care and maintaining clean, organized areas.
