Role Overview

Tesco Ireland seeks a Line Manager based in Dublin to lead and support a department team, ensuring an excellent shopping experience for customers. The company emphasizes values, leadership, and career development.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coach and guide your team to provide outstanding service, maintain standards, and ensure product availability.
  • Achieve all departmental key performance indicators.
  • Lead daily decision-making supporting team productivity and performance.
  • Implement training plans guaranteeing all colleagues receive quality coaching, validation, and updated training documentation.
  • Ensure department routines, processes, and systems are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Plan seasonal, trade, and promotion activities to maximize sales, impact, and presentation.
  • Oversee all safety and legal procedures for departments, addressing any issues proactively.
  • Facilitate colleagues’ understanding of their goals, conduct reviews, career discussions, and maintain active professional development plans.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance team skills and confidence, encouraging behavioral improvements for superior customer experience.
  • Foster an environment supporting innovation, personal growth, and a culture where customers and colleagues feel valued.

  • Prioritize customer needs in all actions.
  • Build relationships with customers and serve them proudly.
  • Ensure consistent availability and care of products and services.
  • Maintain clean, organized shop floor and back areas.

  • Proven prior management experience with a track record of successfully leading teams.

  • Recognized as the primary contact for queries in your department.
  • Ability to influence and shape decisions at senior levels.
  • Preferably, prior retail experience.
