Job Overview

The Light Duty Cleaner will handle various cleaning duties including floor care, vacuuming, dusting, waste management, and maintaining washrooms and kitchenettes to ensure a clean and sanitary environment.

Schedule

This position is full-time.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate actively in all required training sessions.
• Follow all company health and safety policies rigorously.
• Sweep, mop (dry and wet), wash, and buff floors and stairwells using manual and powered equipment as needed.
• Vacuum carpets and mats in office and public spaces; perform spot cleaning and shampoo carpets as directed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on cleaning equipment including floor machines, vacuums, automatic scrubbers, and buffers.
• Empty trash and recycling bins, replace liners, and transport waste to designated collection areas.
• Deep clean washrooms and kitchen/kitchenettes, including disinfecting and polishing fixtures, door handles, mirrors, countertops, partitions, and floors.
• Restock consumables such as toilet paper, hand towels, soap, and sanitizer.
• Perform spot cleaning on walls, doors, and kickplates to remove marks and smudges.
• Clean elevators if applicable.
• Identify and report issues like clogged urinals or faulty lighting.
• Perform high dusting and wall washing tasks.
• Execute additional duties as assigned by site supervisors.

Candidate Qualifications

• Ability to follow directions and work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing excellent service, maintaining organization, and sustaining high energy and stamina.
• Proficient in operating cleaning tools and equipment; experience with auto scrubbers is advantageous.
• Reliable transportation is necessary due to job requirements.
