Job Summary
The Heavy Duty Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of hard floors, carpets, bathrooms, offices, common areas, and managing waste removal from collection points to designated bins. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Sweeping, mopping, and washing floors, stairs, and other interior surfaces.
- Performing floor stripping, waxing, carpet steam cleaning, and window cleaning upon request.
- Cleaning windowsills, interior glass doors, partitions, and specified windows.
- Maintaining clean glass and trim at entrance doors both inside and outside the building.
- Spot cleaning interior walls daily as needed.
- Regular bathroom cleaning including restocking paper supplies, wiping glass surfaces, emptying wastebaskets, servicing soap and toilet dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, and floor care.
- Supporting supervisors by assisting with various tasks as required.
- Monitoring and reporting facility issues such as clogged fixtures and lighting outages.
- Moving between two buildings located across the street, with shower facilities available.
- Collecting and disposing of building trash daily into designated containers for removal.
- Replacing liners in waste and trash containers according to standards.
- Performing high dusting and wall washing duties.
- Operating heavy-duty equipment, handling compactors, and lifting items up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently with minimal supervision, and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Proficiency using various cleaning tools and machinery.
- Possession of reliable personal transportation.
- Strong attention to detail, dedication to quality service, organizational skills, and physical stamina.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
