Overview

Qatar Airways is recruiting a Lifeguard for Dhiafatina Hotels in Doha. In this position, the lifeguard will supervise swimming pool activities with the primary goal of ensuring guest safety and preventing accidents. Candidates must fulfill all legal requirements mandated by the relevant authorities before carrying out their responsibilities.

Core Duties

• Offer guests general information about the pool operations as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the swimming pool area.
• Ensure sun loungers are clean, properly positioned, functional, and that the pool deck remains free of debris throughout operational hours.
• Monitor swimming pool usage vigilantly to guarantee safety and report unsafe behaviors or conditions to management.
• Provide assistance to anyone experiencing difficulties in or near the pool.
• Regularly check pool temperature to confirm it meets established standards.
• Conduct morning setup tasks including sweeping and watering the pool deck and arranging furniture appropriately.
• Secure umbrellas correctly and store them appropriately when not in use.
• Follow emergency protocols and perform first aid when necessary.
• Collect and send used towels to reception for laundry.
• Conduct swimming lessons when required.
• Manage lost and found items according to hotel policy.
• Immediately communicate any guest feedback, complaints, or comments to the department head.
• Understand the club’s rules and regulations and handle guest membership applications.
• Operate in a safe and environmentally conscious manner to safeguard the health and safety of guests and employees, and to conserve the environment.
• Adhere to hotel health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Perform any additional related departmental tasks as assigned by the head of department.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum high school diploma with at least one year of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English, strong interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
• Experience working in a multicultural environment with a strong focus on detail orientation.
• Pleasant demeanor and willingness to work in shifts.
• Possession of valid First Aid certification.
• CPR certification required.
• Certification or documented experience as a lifeguard.
