Role Overview

Become a critical part of our hospitality team by ensuring the safety and well-being of guests around the pool area. This role encompasses vigilant supervision of pool activities to avert accidents, rendering emergency aid including first aid and CPR, and upholding safety protocols. You'll also contribute to maintaining the cleanliness and orderly condition of pool and deck facilities, handling pool equipment, and verifying water quality compliance. Your presence helps create memorable positive experiences for every guest through attentive service and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor pool areas diligently to prevent accidents and respond promptly to emergencies with lifesaving interventions such as CPR and first aid.
• Continuously observe guest behavior and regularly inspect pool equipment and water standards to ensure safety and quality.
• Deliver courteous and helpful assistance to guests, addressing their queries and ensuring a delightful poolside environment.
• Strictly adhere to internal hotel policies and legal health and safety regulations; promptly identify and report any risks while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members and other hotel departments to maintain a safe and coordinated environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of pool areas, ensuring amenities like towels are well stocked.
• Maintain excellent swimming skills and physical conditioning to effectively manage emergency situations.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

• Possession of a valid lifeguard certification such as Red Cross or YMCA equivalent.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification mandatory.
• Demonstrated strong swimming capabilities and physical fitness.
• Previous experience in lifeguarding or related pool safety roles is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
• Willingness and availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
