Licensed Aircraft Engineer - Line Maintenance (B1)

Role Overview

We are seeking skilled Licensed Aircraft Engineers (B1) for our Line Maintenance Technical Engineering team in Doha. This role involves executing flight operations maintenance checks and related duties within your authorized scope. You will apply your expert knowledge to ensure safe, efficient, and effective aircraft operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute assigned maintenance activities efficiently, utilizing appropriate tools and equipment following Qatar Airways and customer guidelines.
• Assess and suggest improvements to existing work procedures and standards to optimize workflow and effectiveness.
• Authorize final release of completed tasks, ensuring compliance with company and customer quality benchmarks such as dispatch reliability and acceptable deferred defects.
• Maintain high standards in delivery of QR/customer products, completing maintenance tasks as per established policies and procedures.
• Support internal and external customers with satisfactory service and technical problem-solving within your authority.
• Ensure aircraft and component serviceability meet scheduling requirements.
• Supervise and lead a team of mechanics and technical assistants, ensuring tasks are performed to standards and objectives.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and on-the-job training to technicians and mechanics under your supervision.
• Set, review, and realign team objectives and priorities to support business goals.
• Ensure compliance with technical, safety, and customer procedural requirements among team members.
• Allocate task priorities efficiently to optimize resource use and meet scheduled maintenance activities.
• Maintain quality workmanship standards and proper tool usage in supervised tasks.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma/Vocational Diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's Degree with at least 4 years of job-related experience.
• Must hold a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent vocational qualification, or a Degree in aircraft engineering (B.Eng., BSc) or similar.
• Possession of at least one full QR main fleet ICAO/QCAA license and approvals is mandatory.
• Skilled in identifying required tools and equipment to perform jobs effectively.
• Proficient in applying mathematical concepts for problem-solving.
• Experienced in controlling operations of equipment or systems.
• Strong managerial attributes including delegation, workflow management, mentoring, coaching, training, and fostering teamwork.
