Role Overview
The Leasing Specialist will manage Virgin Australia's property leases within airport and workplace facilities, including hangars, offices, airports, and training centers, most of which are owned by third parties. As a key contributor within a small team, this role involves strategizing and executing commercial leasing operations to maximize value for the company.
Primary Responsibilities
- Formulate and negotiate strategies for leasing Virgin Australia's real estate assets.
- Collaborate with senior business stakeholders to achieve favorable commercial outcomes in property management.
- Independently oversee and drive commercial leasing results.
- Engage in negotiations with property owners, ensuring compliance with property laws and regulations.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Exceptional influencing and negotiation capabilities coupled with strong stakeholder relationship management.
- Proven commercial insight and hands-on experience with contract and lease administration.
- Competence in interpreting, drafting lease agreements, and knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong financial analysis, analytical thinking, and strategic problem-solving abilities.
- A tertiary qualification in Law, Business, or Property.
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of the Australian aviation sector and airport leasing procedures.
- Experience managing a portfolio of commercial leases.
- Background in a paralegal capacity.
