Role Overview

The Learning Manager will craft, deliver, and assess educational programs that support organizational goals, elevate colleague skills, and nurture emerging leaders. Collaborating with senior leadership and department heads, you will identify learning priorities and convert them into strategic initiatives consistent with IHG's standards, values, and People & Culture objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the property's Learning & Development strategy aligned with business goals, brand standards, and luxury service aspirations.
• Perform comprehensive Learning Needs Analyses and create detailed annual learning plans and schedules.
• Oversee the deployment, engagement, and efficacy of IHG University programs at the property.
• Ensure full completion of mandatory, brand-specific, and role-based training pathways, with active monitoring.
• Facilitate leadership development for supervisors, managers, and senior personnel through approved IHG training resources.
• Assist in Personal Development Plans and succession initiatives by identifying talent development needs alongside People & Culture and departmental leaders.
• Establish and maintain a robust Departmental Trainer framework that empowers consistent and effective learning within teams.
• Mentor, coach, and support departmental trainers to build their confidence, skill, and teaching effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in Learning & Development or training roles within luxury hospitality, preferably in sizeable or international hotel settings.
• In-depth understanding of hospitality operations with capacity to design practical, operationally aligned learning solutions.
• Demonstrated success facilitating learning across diverse audiences and various levels of seniority.
• Expertise in leadership growth, talent management, and succession planning.
• Excellent verbal and presentation skills tailored for engaging facilitation.
• Innovative approach to learning with the ability to introduce creative programs and initiatives.
• Strong organization and project oversight capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Comfortable collaborating with senior leaders, heads of departments, and operational staff.
• Analytical proficiency in evaluating and communicating learning impact metrics.
