Role Overview

Join Aurecon's Geospatial team in Brisbane as a Lead Surveyor guiding complex engineering projects in Queensland Land & Water sectors. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative infrastructure solutions that strengthen communities and promote sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance on survey and spatial needs throughout project lifecycle from initial concept through to delivery.
  • Collaborate with diverse engineering teams to address technical challenges and mitigate risks on projects in water, transport, defence, energy, environment, and industrial fields.
  • Produce accurate, high-quality survey data and advice that supports informed decision-making.
  • Drive resilient and creative engineering outcomes by applying advanced analytics and optimization techniques, particularly leveraging large datasets.
  • Lead, coordinate, and manage a team of surveyors effectively to meet project goals.

Candidate Profile

  • A bachelor’s degree or relevant engineering qualification with solid experience in surveying.
  • Registration with the Surveyors Board of Queensland is highly preferred; possessing or aspiring to obtain a Cadastral Endorsement is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to deliver impactful and practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement.
  • Strategic thinker with the capacity to understand overarching project goals and challenge existing assumptions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally within Queensland to support project execution.
