About the Role
Join as a Lead Engineer in Land Infrastructure based in Christchurch, delivering vital infrastructure projects that support the growth of communities across Christchurch and throughout New Zealand. This senior civil engineering position blends technical project delivery, client collaboration, and mentoring within a developing regional team. You'll contribute to multidisciplinary projects, providing practical infrastructure solutions from initial concept stages to detailed construction design.
Key Responsibilities
- Design civil infrastructure elements including roads, drainage systems, utilities, and earthworks.
- Provide engineering support for transport, land development, and public infrastructure initiatives.
- Prepare technical reports and detailed design documentation to aid project progression.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers to develop their skills and ensure team success.
- Engage directly with clients to address and resolve infrastructure challenges effectively.
- Contribute collaboratively to proposals and overall project delivery with the broader team.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a degree in Civil Engineering.
- Approximately 10 years or more of experience in civil infrastructure design.
- Demonstrated strong technical skills across civil infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, pavements, and utilities.
- Ideally Chartered Engineer or working actively towards professional Chartership.
- Proficiency with engineering software such as 12d, Civil 3D, or similar design tools.
- Excellent communication abilities and experience engaging with various stakeholders.
- A cooperative mindset with enthusiasm for mentoring colleagues.
