Lead Software Engineer - Salesforce CPQ

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to lead and execute the technical development of Salesforce implementations, translating solution architecture into efficient, well-engineered code and configurations within Salesforce and integrated systems. This role oversees complex CPQ configurations and large ARM migration initiatives, ensuring dependable delivery that meets enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and configure advanced Salesforce solutions covering multiple clouds and external systems aligned with architectural plans.
• Lead and mentor the engineering team by reviewing code, upholding coding standards, and guiding technical delivery.
• Develop and debug integrations between Salesforce and core enterprise systems such as ERP and legacy databases using batch, near real-time, and real-time methods.
• Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure engineering outputs fulfill business objectives.
• Implement REST and SOAP APIs following the API-led integration approach.
• Configure and troubleshoot integration platforms and middleware connecting diverse business applications.
• Enforce data integration and governance processes to maintain data integrity and consistency during development.
• Set up Salesforce CPQ components like product bundles, pricing strategies, quote logic, and approval workflows per documented business needs.
• Support sales and finance teams during build and testing phases to verify quote generation accuracy.
• Lead code reviews and technical build sessions, producing artifacts such as data models and integration documentation.
• Act as lead engineer for major data migration workstreams, managing the transfer of complex datasets into Salesforce.
• Create scalable, secure migration tools and scripts to manage large data volumes while ensuring compliance with security standards and platform constraints.
• Oversee data migration activities including profiling, cleansing, transformation mapping, and reconciliation.
• Provide expert guidance on data handling procedures, archival solutions, and master data management implementations.
• Coordinate release management activities such as deployments, environment setup, and go-live preparations for large programs.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 8 to 12 years of IT experience with strong practical skills in Salesforce development.
• Deep expertise in Salesforce CPQ configuration covering product bundles, pricing rules, and approval workflows.
• Proficiency in constructing and debugging integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, alongside middleware platforms.
• Familiar with databases, middleware tools, and enterprise systems like ERP.
• Experience leading engineering teams, conducting thorough code reviews, and enforcing coding standards and best development practices.
• Strong background in large-scale data migration, including data profiling, cleansing, mapping, and reconciliation.
• Ability to develop scalable and secure data migration tools and scripts to handle substantial data volumes.
• Understanding of data governance practices to ensure quality and consistency in integrations.
• Knowledge of master data management (MDM) and archival implementations is desirable.
• Experience coordinating release management tasks, including deploying solutions and managing environments.
• Skills in performance tuning, managing migration scripts, and supporting large-scale release processes.
