The role belongs to Grab's centralized Platform Engineering team, responsible for the core technology stack that supports everything from consumer applications to autonomous agents. This team encompasses Developer Experience, Infrastructure Foundations, Reliability Engineering, and AI/Agentic infrastructure domains. Their efforts enable thousands of engineers to develop and deploy products swiftly and securely, maintaining high standards and focusing on the developer community's needs.

Role Overview

As the Lead Product Manager for Infrastructure Platforms, you will oversee the vision, strategy, and delivery of Grab's fundamental engineering platform. This backbone supports over a thousand microservices, numerous tools, and thousands of engineers, empowering them to create and operate quality products efficiently and securely. Reporting to the Head of Product, Technical Infrastructure, you will work onsite at Grab One North, supported by engineering and design teams, with significant influence on the engineering experience company-wide.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage the platform product roadmap, collaborating with engineering leadership to prioritize based on real developer challenges, balancing trade-offs and setting delivery milestones.
• Establish clear strategy and success measurements, including KPIs and OKRs, monitoring adoption and outcomes to ensure platform initiatives improve developer productivity.
• Foster adoption of platform solutions by partnering with engineering customers to understand workflows, promote new features, and ensure effective use beyond feature release.
• Create and refine comprehensive, detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) in close collaboration with engineering teams, ensuring high-quality execution with minimal need for rework.
• Advocate for developer experience by regularly engaging with the engineering community, uncovering pain points, analyzing feedback, and prioritizing improvements.
• Utilize Generative AI tools such as Copilots and LLM-based drafting and summarization utilities to accelerate research, documentation, communications, and roadmap planning, embedding this innovation into team practices.
• Provide thought leadership in platform engineering by benchmarking against industry standards, identifying gaps, and promoting strategic investments to maintain a world-class developer platform.

Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of eight years in Product Management focused on complex technical products, especially those related to platforms, infrastructure, or developer tools.
• Strong technical or quantitative foundation demonstrated by a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, enabling credible participation in technical architecture and data discussions.
• Proficient in data-informed decision making by deriving insights from usage and telemetry data, defining success metrics upfront, and prioritizing with evidence-based approaches.
• Exceptional storytelling capability to translate complex platform concepts into clear, persuasive narratives for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Highly effective in cross-functional influence, building trust and managing relationships across engineering, design, data science, and business teams.
• Experience leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to boost productivity, improve workflows, and infuse innovative thinking into platform product development.
• Agile and adaptive with a high sense of urgency, capable of managing multiple domains including infrastructure, reliability, and AI, while maintaining high delivery standards.
