Role Overview

Join GrabX, our central platform for product configuration management and experimentation, designed to let product teams adjust features dynamically without code deployments. This fosters agility and data-driven improvements, enhancing user experience while enabling faster product rollouts and preserving business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable, maintainable software that supports platform expansion and dependable operation.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables through rigorous testing and adherence to engineering standards.
• Work collaboratively with product, design, and backend teams transforming business requirements into technical solutions.
• Enhance system metrics including performance, reliability, observability, and code quality via optimization and refactoring.
• Engage in technical design, architectural decisions, and code reviews.
• Diagnose and resolve live system issues, implementing improvements to enhance reliability.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers through knowledge sharing and guidance.
• Utilize data and experimentation to refine technical choices and improve customer experiences and business outcomes.
• Participate in on-call rotations owning incident management and resolution.
• Continuously update skills with current industry trends and technologies, contributing ideas to the team.

Qualifications

• More than five years of professional experience developing production-grade systems at scale.
• Robust foundation in software engineering principles, system design, architectural patterns, and scalability engineering.
• Fluency in modern programming languages like Go, Sparks, or Java, alongside their accompanying frameworks.
• Proven track record with complex distributed systems development and maintenance.
• Expertise in optimizing performance, improving reliability, and best practices in testing and debugging.
• Experience designing APIs and backend services integration.
• Strong grasp of security-conscious coding and secure system design philosophies.
• Ability to deliver pragmatic and robust solutions in ambiguous or unclear problem scenarios.
• Excellent teamwork and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Product-centric mindset prioritizing end-user experience and customer needs.
• Familiar with experimental design, instrumentation, and leveraging data-driven development strategies.
• Proficiency with modern toolchains including CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Capable of explaining complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering team growth.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background with database schema design, performance tuning, microservices architecture, or containerized environments.
• Exposure to domains like payments, FinTech, authentication, or other security-sensitive product areas.
• Contributions to open-source projects or recognized technical leadership initiatives.
• Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
