Job description

Overview

The Lead Process Improvement Engineer in Facility Management will spearhead continuous enhancement, operational excellence, quality assurance, and cost efficiency across all Facility Management (FM) activities. The role demands proactive collaboration with operational, technical, and commercial teams to evaluate actual service delivery, detect performance and budgetary gaps, refine processes, and uphold strict adherence to contract obligations, internal standards, and industry benchmarks.

Operational Excellence and Site Assessment

This role is predominantly hands-on and analytical, requiring frequent visits to operational sites, interaction with clients, and coordination with internal teams for both Hard and Soft FM services. The engineer will perform regular inspections to verify real service conditions against reported performance, identify discrepancies, and propose actionable enhancements while mitigating risks and encouraging standardization across contracts.

Process Improvement and Analytical Leadership

The individual will lead initiatives to optimize workflows to boost efficiency, output quality, and cost-effectiveness using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and Total Quality Management. Root cause analysis will be conducted to address recurrent operational failures with implementation and tracking of corrective actions.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

Structured audits will be conducted to assess quality and contract compliance, with development and oversight of corrective action plans. The engineer will support implementation and upkeep of ISO standards and facility management best practices across operations.

Performance Management

The role involves refining SLA and KPI frameworks, analyzing performance trends, and delivering detailed reports and dashboards to translate data into clear recommendations aimed at enhancing service quality and client satisfaction.

Cost Optimization and Commercial Collaboration

Supporting budgeting and pricing through operational insights, the engineer will identify cost inefficiencies, promote cost-effective solutions without compromising standards, and align commercial assumptions with operational realities, thereby contributing to cost reduction and efficiency efforts.

Client and Stakeholder Interaction

Engagement with clients and stakeholders to address concerns and expectations, support prompt issue resolution, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability across teams.

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Initiatives

Participation in sustainability efforts including enhancing energy efficiency, waste management, compliance with environmental regulations, and contributing to ESG reporting.
