Maintenance Technician, Reliability Maintenance Engineering

About the Role

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon plays a crucial role in ensuring continuous operational excellence by maintaining essential machinery and workplace environments. As an RME Technician based in Dublin, you will be responsible for sustaining high equipment availability, enhancing operational conditions, and upholding stringent health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform proactive and preventative maintenance on diverse site equipment to prevent machinery failures.
• Diagnose faults and conduct reactive repairs within a dynamic distribution warehouse environment.
• Utilize advanced tools and technology to maximize the efficiency and reliability of machinery.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental policies and protocols.
• Assist in mentoring and developing on-site apprentices to foster skill growth.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices across multiple European Union facilities.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess NFQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics fields, or have completed a four-year certified apprenticeship in Ireland or the UK.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Hold relevant experience as a qualified engineer with skills in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
• Exhibit advanced communication proficiency in the local language, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with condition-based monitoring techniques.
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining print and apply machinery.
• Expertise in diagnosing and maintaining conveyor or automation systems.
