Role Overview
As a Lead Portfolio Analyst reporting to the Capital Portfolio Manager, you will be instrumental in managing and enhancing Watercare's Investment and Delivery Plan. You will spearhead the long-term portfolio modelling efforts, integrating financial data, schedules, risks, and performance metrics to support strategic investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and continuous enhancement of the 30-year capital investment model and related portfolio management tools.
- Coordinate the collection and validation of investment planning inputs, assumptions, and portfolio datasets.
- Perform comprehensive analyses of investment scenarios, evaluating affordability, risks, and delivery limitations.
- Deliver portfolio-level insights relating to costs, schedules, and performance outcomes.
- Support reporting requirements for executives, governance bodies, and regulatory agencies.
- Drive ongoing improvements in portfolio modelling, reporting accuracy, and data integrity.
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary education in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in portfolio analysis, financial evaluation, or project controls within complex capital or infrastructure settings.
- Advanced modelling and analytical abilities to transform intricate data into actionable business intelligence.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A dedicated approach to continual process enhancement and informed decision-making based on data analysis.
