Role Overview
We invite applications for the role of Instrumentation Technician based at our Rosedale Wastewater Treatment Plant. This role offers an exciting challenge to apply your expertise in instrumentation and problem-solving to help maintain reliable drinking water and wastewater services for Auckland.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring operational functionality of instrumentation and control systems are maintained.
- Installing and commissioning upgrades or new additions to existing control systems.
- Responding promptly to alarms from control systems as they occur.
- Alerting supervisors about any systems that may be at risk.
- Accurately documenting calibration and test outcomes.
Candidate Profile
Successful candidates will have a strong history in instrumentation and hold a National Certificate in Industrial Instrumentation and Control Level 4 or an equivalent qualification. Electrical Registration is advantageous. You are expected to be a motivated self-starter with a positive outlook and a passion for wastewater and water management.
- Comprehensive technical expertise in process control systems including PLC, SCADA, and DCS, specifically within continuous process environments.
- Capability to lead and collaborate effectively with a team of technical professionals.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Meticulous attention to detail combined with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
