Job Responsibilities

• Manage the full requirements lifecycle from high-level product vision to detailed functional specs, system integration, and supporting business processes.
• Collaborate with planning teams to design prototypes for enterprise systems that cover necessary features and integration strategies for existing system transitions.
• Develop complex modules within enterprise system plans while delegating routine coding tasks to junior Java developers.
• Conduct thorough testing of developed code modules and perform fixes to ensure seamless deployment and functionality.
• Lead cultural and technical change by adopting new development practices focused on problem solving and continuous improvement, while fostering excitement around coding and documentation.
• Provide expertise in scaling continuous integration and delivery globally, mentoring others on these processes and tools.
• Partner with architects to implement technically sound designs and solutions.
• Demonstrate leadership by guiding team members on programming paradigms and technologies, acting as a technical mentor and moderator.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with tribe coaches, platform leads, and other key roles to enhance projects and platforms.
• Plan and oversee deployment of system features, monitor integrations, and maintain system performance during the lifecycle.
• Develop, test, and support mobile and web applications.
• Recommend software strategies to address emerging banking functionalities and reporting needs.

Required Experience and Skills

• Over 10 years of experience with Java/J2EE technologies including SQL, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, RESTful and Web Services, XML, and JSON.
• At least 5 years of experience serving as a team leader.
• Proven background in the banking sector.
• Strong command of Java application development frameworks such as EJB, Camel, Spring, and Hibernate.
• Familiarity with database management systems like Oracle or DB2.
• Experience using Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, and Maven.
• Capable in web technologies development.
• Knowledge of middleware platforms including JBoss, IBM WebSphere, and WebLogic.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Exceptional debugging and optimization capabilities.
