Hospitality Systems Developer (Java)

Overview

This role requires a proficient developer specializing in Java backend systems within the hospitality sector. Candidates should have solid experience developing backend applications, with a strong understanding of relational databases, ideally Oracle, and familiarity with NoSQL databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop backend systems primarily using Java technologies.
• Design and implement microservices and RESTful APIs aligned with event-driven architectures.
• Work with cloud-based infrastructure including platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Ensure system scalability, reliability, and resilience through robust distributed system design.
• Incorporate rigorous testing and uphold high standards of code quality and maintainability.
• Integrate and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines supporting DevOps methodologies.
• Utilize monitoring and observability tools to ensure system health and performance.

Additional Expertise

• Knowledge of non-relational data stores such as MongoDB, Couchbase, or Kafka is advantageous.
