Role Summary

In this strategic front-end role as Lead Engineer – Water Infrastructure Strategic Planning, you will guide how water infrastructure is envisioned, funded, and executed amidst climate challenges, reform, and evolving community expectations. The focus is on influencing early infrastructure decisions and forging lasting client partnerships to drive impactful, long-range results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning for water-related infrastructure systems, including stormwater, water supply, and wastewater.
• Shape early-stage infrastructure decisions such as business cases and investment priorities.

• At least 15 years of experience in water infrastructure planning and strategy, with a preference for hands-on project delivery background.

• Experience interacting with senior stakeholders across councils, utilities, or government bodies.
• Comprehensive understanding of the New Zealand water sector and ongoing reforms.
