Key Responsibilities

• Architect and build an Option Market Making and Volatility execution platform integrated into the trading infrastructure.
• Craft and fine-tune performance-sensitive components in modern C++ (C++17/20) emphasizing low latency.
• Develop robust, high-throughput systems that process real-time market data and order flows efficiently.
• Incorporate trading controls and risk management features within the execution platform to ensure safety.
• Innovate beyond conventional software solutions through creative system design and troubleshooting.
• Produce secure, high-quality production-grade code, conduct code reviews, debug, and uplift code quality team-wide.
• Partner with quantitative researchers and traders to transform trading strategies into stable production software.
• Write thoroughly tested, resilient code tailored for high-availability demands, enhancing operational stability.
• Lead architecture decisions and promote improvements in performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Champion enterprise-approved AI-assisted engineering tools targeting improved code quality, delivery speed, and operational results, ensuring validation standards and encouraging reuse of effective development patterns.
• Leverage tools across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including AI-driven development and automation facilities, to maximize automation benefits.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Formal training or certification in software engineering and over 5 years developing trading systems.
• Expert-level skills in modern C++ (C++17/20) geared towards performance-critical production environments.
• Strong expertise in optimizing low-latency systems covering memory management, data structures, and Linux systems programming.
• Experience with TCP/UDP socket programming and real-time messaging frameworks.
• Capability to design and maintain distributed, high-availability systems.
• Practical knowledge spanning system design, application development, testing, and maintaining operational stability throughout the SDLC.
• Familiarity with build tools, configuration management, continuous integration, agile methodologies, resiliency concepts, and security.
• Proven leadership in deploying approved AI-assisted software development technology—coding, code reviews, test acceleration, and troubleshooting—while establishing validation standards on correctness, performance, and security.
• A strong understanding of responsible AI practice within engineering workflows including data sensitivity, secure input/output management, and compliance with resilience and security frameworks; mentoring engineers on safe and compliant adoption.

Preferred Attributes

• Knowledge of options trading, derivatives pricing, Greeks, and market-making strategies.
• Experience developing market data feed handlers or order management systems.
• Familiarity with exchange connectivity protocols such as FIX and native/binary protocols.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring software engineers in trading technology settings.
