About the Role
We are seeking a Lead BPM & Workflow Automation Engineer responsible for spearheading the design, development, and deployment of business process management and workflow automation initiatives. The position prioritizes scalable process orchestration solutions utilizing Camunda 7 and Camunda 8 while ensuring technical excellence, seamless integration, governance adherence, and alignment with organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end BPM and workflow automation projects from initial concept through development, testing, and deployment in production.
- Architect and build BPM and workflow automation solutions leveraging Camunda 7 and Camunda 8 platforms.
- Define technical frameworks, architectural designs, and integration strategies for process and workflow automation solutions.
- Develop orchestrated processes integrated tightly with enterprise systems.
- Manage migration efforts between different BPM platforms including transitioning existing workflows and processes.
- Conduct reviews of technical designs, development approaches, and source code to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
- Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and training to development teams to enhance competencies.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to analyze, streamline, and automate business processes for efficiency gains.
- Establish and uphold BPM governance models, development protocols, quality standards, and industry best practices.
- Prepare and update comprehensive technical documentation reflecting ongoing enhancements and software releases.
- Assist in evaluating and enhancing current technical architecture focusing on design patterns and software development methodologies.
- Operate within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework ensuring disciplined delivery.
- Design robust database schemas and craft optimized SQL queries supporting BPM and workflow executions.
- Diagnose and resolve technical challenges to foster solution performance, robustness, and continual process improvement.
Candidate Profile
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or closely related disciplines.
- Between 4 and 7 years of applicable experience encompassing BPM, workflow automation, software engineering, or related technical arenas.
- Proficient hands-on experience with Camunda BPM platforms, specifically versions 7 and 8.
- Deep understanding of BPM principles, BPMN standards, workflow automation, and orchestrated process design.
- Strong background in technical architecture, system integration, particularly API-driven interfaces.
- Advanced database expertise including schema design and executing complex SQL queries.
- Experience applying software development best practices within the SDLC context.
- Skilled in conducting technical solution design and source code quality review processes.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to mentor development teams and provide clear technical leadership and instruction.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Proficient command of English language skills.
