Laundry Worker

Role Overview

Join Healthcare Services Group as a Laundry Worker and be integral in ensuring the cleanliness and availability of linens and garments at a long-term care facility. Responsibilities

• Gather, sort, launder, dry, fold, and distribute linens and residents' personal clothing promptly and efficiently.
• Safely operate laundry machines and related equipment in compliance with operational standards.
• Maintain accurate logs of laundry activities and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and universal precaution policies to maintain hygiene and prevent contamination.
• Interact courteously and professionally with residents, staff members, and visitors to provide excellent customer service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall facility operation.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior experience in laundry operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive demeanor when interacting with residents and colleagues.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination mandates in line with company policies.
• Physical capability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, push or pull the same weight, and sustain prolonged periods of standing, sitting, bending, and walking.
• Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals and following safety procedures.
• Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions and perform repetitive daily duties reliably.
• Must reside within the service area of the facility.
