Job description
Role Overview
Join Healthcare Services Group as a Laundry Worker and be integral in ensuring the cleanliness and availability of linens and garments at a long-term care facility. This position supports our mission to positively impact the communities we serve by maintaining high standards for resident and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Gather, sort, launder, dry, fold, and distribute linens and residents' personal clothing promptly and efficiently.
- Safely operate laundry machines and related equipment in compliance with operational standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of laundry activities and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and universal precaution policies to maintain hygiene and prevent contamination.
- Interact courteously and professionally with residents, staff members, and visitors to provide excellent customer service.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall facility operation.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience in laundry operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive demeanor when interacting with residents and colleagues.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination mandates in line with company policies.
- Physical capability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, push or pull the same weight, and sustain prolonged periods of standing, sitting, bending, and walking.
- Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals and following safety procedures.
- Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions and perform repetitive daily duties reliably.
- Must reside within the service area of the facility.
