Job Overview

Join the Western Zone team at Yarmouth Regional Hospital as a Laundry Worker within the FMS Laundry department. This permanent full-time position reports to the Assistant Manager and focuses on the safe and efficient operation of laundry equipment to ensure continuous processing of soiled and clean laundry and linen products. The role supports the mission and objectives of Nova Scotia Health by delivering clean and safe laundry in the proper quantities for departmental customers.

Candidate Profile

• Completed Grade 12, GED, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Understanding of Infection Control practices applicable to laundry operations.
• WHMIS certification or training completion is necessary.
• Familiarity with industrial laundry Infection Control guidelines.
• Multilingual abilities, especially French proficiency, are considered a plus.

Working Conditions

• Permanent, full-time employment requiring 75 hours every two weeks.
• Work schedule may encompass various shifts including days, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay ranges between $20.74 and $21.56.

• Participation in a defined benefit pension plan.
