Full-Time Cleaner

Position Overview

This opening is for a full-time janitor role focused on maintaining cleanliness and order in various settings including offices, commercial, industrial, or institutional buildings. The successful candidate will collaborate effectively within teams and with clients, adhering to both verbal and written instructions, while demonstrating clear communication skills.

Work Schedule and Compensation

The position involves working shifts Monday through Friday plus weekends from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Compensation is hourly at a fixed rate of C$18.25 per hour. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas by vacuuming, edging, dusting, cleaning and stocking restrooms and break rooms, window cleaning, sweeping and mopping floors, and trash removal.
• Support shift leads in completing punch-list items and fill in during staff shortages as needed.
• Comply strictly with all company procedures, policies, safety rules, and personal protective equipment usage.
• Uphold professional appearance and conduct while fostering trust and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service.

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering a positive guest experience.
• Prioritize safety at all times and coordinate with cleaning leads, supervisors, managers, and other departments.
• Participate actively in team meetings and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers and guests.

Candidate Profile

• No prior cleaning experience is necessary.
• Must prioritize safety and observe all safety guidelines.
• Be a dedicated team player committed to quality in the workplace.
• Exhibit outstanding customer service skills.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Expect to stand about a third of the time and walk over two-thirds of the shift; occasional sitting is required.
• Utilize hands and fingers for handling tasks and perform reaching, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing activities within specified limits.
• Perform repetitive duties and be able to stand for long periods, frequently lift lightweight objects (0-13 pounds), and work effectively under pressure during peak times.
