Full-Time Janitor Cleaner

Position Overview

This role involves maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in designated areas such as offices, commercial, industrial, or institutional buildings. Collaboration with colleagues, clients, and management at various levels is essential. Effective understanding and execution of instructions, both written and verbal, is expected.

Work Schedule and Compensation

The position offers a full-time hourly wage of CAD 18.00 per hour. Work hours are scheduled from Monday to Friday plus weekends, from 8:00 pm to 3:30 am.

Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to all safety policies, rules, and procedures.
• Work collaboratively within a team setting to complete assigned duties.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in all work areas.
• Follow company policies and procedures comprehensively.
• Accept and act on supervision and directions professionally.
• Ensure professional communication with all stakeholders including leads, supervisors, co-workers, managers, and customers.
• Fill in for absent staff as required.
• Assist shift leads with completing punch-list tasks.
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct on site.
• Provide excellent customer service and promote customer satisfaction.
• Understand organizational reporting systems and environmental standards.
• Build and maintain trust with clients and team members.

Key Tasks

• Vacuuming and edging floors.
• Dusting surfaces.
• Cleaning and restocking restrooms and breakrooms.
• Window cleaning.
• Emptying trash and proper disposal.
• Sweeping and mopping floors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical and Environmental Demands

• Standing for one-third of the time and walking more than two-thirds during shifts.
• Use of hands and fingers for various manual tasks.
• Reaching above shoulder height; pushing, pulling, grasping 33-50% of time.
• Ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl less than one-third of the time.
• Perform repetitive motions and lift items weighing up to 13 pounds frequently.
• Ability to endure time pressures and meet deadlines during busy periods.
