Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated full-time Dishwasher to join our team in Santa Monica, CA. This role involves washing pots, pans, and dishes, maintaining cleanliness of floors and work areas, and providing support to the culinary team. The position offers hourly wages between $20 and $22 and includes a range of employee benefits such as medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, along with a comprehensive leave program.
Work Schedule
The dishwasher will work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Core Duties
- Clean pots, pans, and dishes effectively according to safety standards.
- Maintain floors and sanitize workspaces, utensils, and equipment.
- Assist in food preparation when trained and required.
- Manage storage areas and equipment upkeep.
- Support catering activities including food delivery and event setup.
- Follow HACCP practices for handling dishware and food items.
- Remove garbage safely and perform other assigned duties.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and accident-free work environment by adhering to safety rules and protocols.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Demonstrated knowledge of HACCP standards.
- Strong commitment to customer service and team collaboration.
- Positive mindset and reliability.
- Effective communication skills and ability to follow directions from chefs and management.
- Capacity to work efficiently under pressure and meet time constraints.
- Physical capability to stand for up to eight hours and lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Compliance with dress code requirements and workplace safety norms.
Work Environment and Compliance
This role requires standing for extended periods and working under time deadlines during peak hours. Employees must participate in ongoing Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) compliance trainings and actively engage in maintaining a safe workplace.
