Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry and staff areas continuously.
- Enforce compliance with health and safety protocols, specifically regarding chemical use.
- Ensure all team members understand and adhere to departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs) and laundry SOPs (LSOPs).
- Provide coaching and guidance to new staff, including initial orientation as well as ongoing training and development initiatives.
- Support supplier relationship management.
- Oversee accurate record keeping for linen stock, uniforms, and related items.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of linen, towels, and uniforms aligned with inventory requirements.
- Create and sustain a motivating work atmosphere within the department and encourage positive interdepartmental relations.
- Implement strategies aimed at reducing waste of materials and amenities within the department.
- Manage overtime effectively through strong leadership and immediate issue resolution.
- Participate in task forces to support the launch of new Minor Hotels, MINT properties, and special events under Minor International.
- Ensure all VIP guest laundry requirements are fulfilled to standard.
