Laundry Driver

Position Summary

The Laundry Driver is responsible for transporting laundry between various properties using a designated laundry truck. Duties include inspecting the vehicle for any damage and cleanliness, securing vehicle keys when not in use, and documenting all trips before and after each route. The driver must park the truck in designated areas and check tire pressure and fluid levels to ensure proper vehicle maintenance.

Safety and Company Policies

This role requires strict adherence to all company safety and security procedures, including reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management. Completion of all required safety training and certifications is mandatory. The driver must comply with company policies regarding uniform presentation and personal appearance, maintain professionalism at all times, and safeguard company property.

Interpersonal and Work Environment

Effective communication and rapport-building with colleagues and other departments are essential to success. The driver is expected to meet quality assurance standards and demonstrate reliable reading and observation skills across multiple formats. Physical requirements include the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and handle lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted, and over 75 pounds with assistance. Navigating uneven or slippery surfaces, stairs, service ramps, and performing bending, twisting, reaching, pulling, and stooping motions are part of daily tasks.

Other Duties

The Laundry Driver may be assigned additional reasonable tasks as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

No formal educational qualification such as a high school diploma or GED is required. No previous related work or supervisory experience is necessary. A valid Driver’s License is mandatory to perform this role.
