Laundry Attendant

Job Overview

We are seeking a Laundry Attendant to deliver exceptional guest service with professionalism and courtesy. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and order of laundry facilities and managing supplies efficiently while following company hospitality standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and treat soiled linens and terry cloth, keeping accurate records of damaged items and reporting irreparable laundry to supervisors.
• Operate washers and dryers properly, perform routine cleaning like lint trap maintenance, and report machine issues for repairs.
• Fold clean linens and terry, stock storage areas neatly, and ensure workspaces remain clean and organized.
• Promptly respond to guest inquiries and requests with a professional and hospitable attitude.
• Adhere to emergency procedures and maintain a crisp, professional appearance daily, following grooming and uniform standards.
• Complete additional duties as assigned within capability.

Candidate Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in housekeeping environments such as hotels, hospitals, or care facilities is advantageous.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift (up to 60 pounds pushed or pulled, 30 pounds lifted or carried), and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
• Good vision and hearing capability, alongside effective communication skills to interact with guests and coworkers.
• Understanding of proper linen handling, laundry procedures, hygiene, safety, and cost control measures.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team, multitask effectively, and maintain service focus.
• Competence in using relevant computer systems such as Quore or Hotel Effectiveness is a plus.
• Trustworthiness and integrity are critical due to access to guest rooms and property; successful security clearance is required.

Working Conditions

• This position requires physical presence on site and involves standing and walking for long durations.
• Work schedule may include any shift, weekends included.
