Landscape Architect

About the Role

Join a global leader in engineering and design for a prestigious project based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on leading the supervision of landscape works by ensuring quality, compliance, and effective implementation of landscape design post-contract. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver a landmark project that aligns with high standards and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all landscape supervision activities including reviewing and approving technical submissions and resolving site issues.
• Track progress and quality of landscape construction executed by consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure all landscape installations strictly adhere to contract specifications, design concepts, and quality standards.
• Work closely with consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
• Conduct material inspections on-site and approve material inspection requests appropriately.
• Prepare and oversee documentation to support work completion and secure consultant approvals after inspections.
• Supervise landscape works throughout the project site ensuring compliance with all approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with civil and infrastructure teams to guarantee smooth integration of landscape components with overall construction.
• Address inconsistencies between contract drawings and civil works in collaboration with design teams by providing onsite practical solutions.
• Respond to RFIs, perform method statement reviews, conduct material inspections, and manage design checks.
• Identify critical safety concerns, assist in resolving punch list items, and smooth project handover by supporting construction supervisors.
• Review operations and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, and training documentation promoting a zero-incident safety culture.
• Lead by example in promoting strict safety compliance and ensuring construction quality standards are met.
• Follow project quality control protocols and contribute to process improvements continuously.
• Monitor construction timelines actively and implement corrective measures to maintain schedules.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a closely related discipline from an accredited university.
• Extensive experience of 10 to 15 years in architectural supervision, particularly in landscape architecture.
• Experience with prestigious consultancies managing large-scale projects is highly preferred.
• Deep understanding of post-contract supervision, including shop drawing analysis and site inspection procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and similar architectural software tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate between teams and report to stakeholders.
• Preference for candidates residing in Saudi Arabia with a valid Iqama residency permit.
