Job Overview
The Kitchen Technician role involves performing scheduled and unscheduled repairs, maintenance, and installation of machinery, tools, equipment, and related property assets to ensure safe and continuous operation. This position also supports exterior grounds activities such as snow removal, landscaping, and parking garage maintenance, and manages sanitation processes including pest control. Responsibilities extend to conducting painting and structural repairs on various building materials and furnishings, and supporting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, and sewer systems. Compliance with OSHA safety standards and other regulatory regulations is a key part of the role. Effective interdepartmental communication is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct repairs, maintenance, and equipment installations to sustain safe facility operations.
- Submit expenditure requests for repairs and upkeep through facility management.
- Assist with outdoor grounds maintenance including snow removal, landscaping, and parking facility care.
- Implement sanitation protocols and pest control measures.
- Perform structural repairs such as painting and masonry work on buildings and furnishings.
- Support HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, and sewage system upkeep and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety standards within the property.
- Participate actively in company safety and regulatory compliance programs.
- Collaborate positively across departments for smooth operation.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum age requirement: 21 years or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, plus six months of related experience or training, or an equivalent education and experience combination.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Access, and Word.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic mathematical skills including operations with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Ability to analyze problems, gather data, and draw logical conclusions.
- Possession of a valid driver's license in the state of residence with successful periodic driving record checks.
- Physical ability to perform job tasks which may include pushing, pulling, carrying up to 25 pounds, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and navigating confined spaces with reasonable accommodations.

Compensation and Work Schedule
Starting wage for the position is $27.00 per hour, with actual pay determined based on experience. Work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
