Role Summary

We seek a motivated Kitchen Hand to join our team at Cooinda Lodge. This vital role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen areas while assisting with food preparation and stock management in a dynamic hospitality setting within one of Australia's most exceptional tourism locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitize all kitchen spaces including areas used for food preparation and storage.
• Ensure floors and work surfaces are free from hazards and obstructions.
• Operate kitchen cleaning machinery and promptly report any malfunctions.
• Prepare and assemble ingredients for cooking as directed.
• Assist in receiving shipments and proper storage of kitchen stock.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment correctly according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Employ safe and hygienic disposal methods for both dry and wet waste materials.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience working in kitchens or hotel environments.
• Knowledge of food preparation and service practices.
• Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks and lifting requirements.
• High attention to detail with the ability to adhere strictly to safety and hygiene procedures.
• Adaptable, dependable, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent focus on cleanliness and detail.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
