Role Overview
Join Bupa at Cromwell Hospital, London SW5 0TU as a full-time Kitchen Porter, playing a key role in supporting a high-caliber catering service within a busy hospital environment. This permanent position involves 40 hours per week with varied shifts and offers a salary of 3,720 plus excellent benefits.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, clean, and sanitize crockery, cutlery, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machinery following company protocols.
- Keep all kitchen areas including floors, waste, and storage spaces spotlessly clean and organized.
- Assist chefs with basic food prepping tasks when necessary.
- Accept and safely store deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Manage waste disposal according to company and environmental standards.
- Maintain cleaning schedules and accurately complete all related documentation.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and correctly stored after use.
- Monitor supplies and promptly communicate any shortages.
- Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and infection control procedures.
- Report hazards, incidents, or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
