Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter who is passionate about keeping kitchens impeccably clean and running efficiently. This position requires stamina, attention to detail, and strong communication. Holding a full UK driving licence is mandatory as driving to different onsite locations is part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchenware manually and using industrial dishwashers.
- Operate heavy machinery such as industrial floor cleaners on a daily basis.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitisation of all kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas.
- Manage waste by emptying rubbish bins and ensuring correct disposal.
- Support chefs with basic food preparation tasks including peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
- Assist in receipt, storage, and organisation of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines and proper functioning of kitchen equipment.
- Drive to various kitchen locations as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- No specific formal education required; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Physical endurance to stand for long periods and to lift heavy objects safely.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Must possess a valid full UK driving licence.
