Role Summary
The Kitchen Porter will be responsible for assisting with Back of House operations to uphold exceptional safety and hygiene standards in line with 5-star expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain exemplary cleanliness throughout kitchen and related areas by washing, disinfecting, and polishing equipment, floors, walls, and kitchen surfaces.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations including COSHH and Manual Handling, and participate in all required training sessions.
- Support preparation and organization of operational equipment for events and inventory management.
- Dispose of refuse responsibly by emptying bins, sorting waste per hotel policies, and keeping refuse zones clean.
- Assist during busy periods to ensure back-of-house areas remain clean and orderly.
- Maintain hygiene standards in staff areas such as locker rooms.
- Consistently meet high standards of personal grooming and hygiene.
- Demonstrate flexibility by undertaking various tasks beyond primary duties to support guests and team members.
Candidate Requirements
- Between one to three years of experience within the hospitality sector.
- Competent in intermediate written and verbal communication.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure within dynamic and fast-paced environments.
- Strong organizational skills with capacity to work independently and meet deadlines delivering quality results.
- Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Confident and dynamic communicator, able to interact at all organizational levels.
