Kitchen Helper

Role Overview

The Kitchen Helper supports multiple hotel functions by assisting with basic kitchen tasks and maintaining cleanliness. This position involves preparing clean linens and spotless dining ware for guest use, operating and maintaining cleaning tools and equipment such as dishwashing machines and hand wash stations, and transporting dishware throughout the hotel. The role requires collaboration across departments including kitchen, food and beverage, and employee dining areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to all company safety, security policies and procedures, promptly reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and obtain necessary certifications.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and ensure confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Safeguard company assets and uphold organizational standards.
• Greet and acknowledge guests courteously in line with company guidelines.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and guests.
• Build positive working relationships and support team objectives.
• Meet quality expectations and standards consistently.
• Perform physical activities including standing, sitting, walking for prolonged periods; bending, twisting, pulling, stooping; and lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds without aid.
• Carry out additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Eligibility

• No formal education such as a high school diploma or GED is required.
• No previous related work or supervisory experience is necessary.
• No licenses or certifications are mandatory.
• Authorization to work within the European Union is essential.

Location and Work Conditions

This position is based at the W Hotels property located at Andrassy Avenue 25, Budapest, Hungary, in the historically significant Drechsler Palace, renowned for its luxurious accommodations, dining venues, and amenities including meeting spaces, a spa, fitness center, and pool. The worksite is onsite and full-time.
