Role Overview

Join NovaLexi as a Junior to Mid-Level QA Engineer based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focusing on ensuring software quality for enterprise SaaS platforms. This role entails both automated and manual testing to maintain product reliability, with special emphasis on localization, security, and performance.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop, run, and update automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript for front-end UI, alongside RSpec request specs for GraphQL APIs integrated within CI/CD workflows.
• Conduct multi-tenant isolation verification, ensuring data access restrictions at row-level and strict API authorization to maintain tenant data segregation.
• Perform Arabic right-to-left (RTL) and bilingual localization tests covering UI mirroring, mixed Arabic/Latin text, diverse date formats including Hijri and Gregorian, and report/PDF output integrity.
• Execute thorough functional, regression, and smoke testing on new features, bug fixes, and integrated systems.
• Apply WCAG 2.2 Level AA guidelines to accessibility testing using automated (axe-core) and manual keyboard/screen-reader techniques.
• Assist performance/load testing using tools such as k6 and JMeter to verify API and UI response times meet set targets.
• Manage defect lifecycles by documenting bugs with precise reproduction steps, validating fixes, collaborating with developers for root cause analysis, and monitoring resolution timelines.
• Create and maintain bilingual test plans and test scenarios targeting primary platform modules and customer workflows.
• Prepare for User Acceptance Testing by organizing test data and enabling environments conducive for client assessments.
• Fulfill additional tasks as assigned by direct management.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Possess 1 to 3 years of practical experience in software quality assurance and test automation within enterprise web or SaaS environments.
• Proficient in authoring and running automated tests using frameworks like Playwright, TypeScript, Selenium, Cypress, or equivalents.
• Knowledgeable in API testing, preferably with Postman, Bruno, or code-based suites, and familiar with GraphQL and REST API structures.
• Skilled in handling relational databases including PostgreSQL or MySQL and capable of crafting SQL queries for test data management.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, able to assess Arabic UI content and RTL features and confidently produce bilingual documentation.
• Experienced with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, GitLab CI) and proficient in Git version control.
• Adaptable to fast-paced startup settings, demonstrating strong self-management, flexibility, and commitment to meeting tight deadlines.
• Familiarity and comfort using AI-powered tools (such as Claude Code) to enhance productivity and output quality.
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification or comparable testing expertise is advantageous.
• Prior exposure to performance testing instruments like k6 and JMeter is preferred.
• Relevant QA experience in intellectual property management, legal tech, or complex document-centric enterprise systems is a plus.
