Junior Stakeholder Engineer

About the Role

Join Parsons in Qatar as a Junior Stakeholder Engineer and become part of a dynamic team that values people and innovation. This role involves assisting the Stakeholder Manager by acting as a liaison with public authorities, regulators, utility companies, and other external parties. You will keep stakeholders informed, manage their expectations, and handle their queries related to the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing project deliverables and coordinate with authorities and stakeholders to help ensure project goals are met.
• Support the planning and definition of stakeholder objectives and contribute to developing strategies aligned with client contracts and corporate guidelines.
• Facilitate stakeholder coordination activities and help address conflicting requirements to maintain project approval schedules.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare progress updates, reports, and maintain stakeholder tracking tools.
• Participate in design and stakeholder meetings to monitor progress, document action items, and follow up as needed.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors on design and stakeholder matters under the direction of the Stakeholder Manager.
• Draft reports, correspondence, and required submissions fulfilling client and stakeholder expectations.
• Support stakeholder and authority coordination efforts to ensure smooth asset handover upon project completion.
• Provide input on handover and stakeholder-related items in weekly and monthly reports, alerting managers to potential delays.
• Conduct site visits to stakeholders, track application status, and provide regular updates.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from a recognized university.
• At least 6 months to 2 years of experience working in Qatar, with general familiarity of stakeholder requirements in infrastructure projects.
• Experience in Qatar is essential.
• Some exposure to stakeholder coordination, work with utility agencies or government bodies such as municipalities or ministries is advantageous.
• Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable using computers.
• Strong communication skills in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
• Good organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Must have a valid MME/MMUP registration.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting design processes from a stakeholder management perspective on large infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of utility coordination, land acquisition, permitting, and government stakeholder management.
• Experience handling design reviews, stakeholder feedback, and resolving interface issues.
• Skilled in preparing reports, correspondence, presentations, and briefings related to stakeholder management.
• Ability to identify potential stakeholder risks and suggest mitigation strategies to uphold project timelines.
• Knowledge about Qatar’s regulatory frameworks, approval procedures, and submission requirements.
• Familiarity with electronic document management systems (EDMS), document/material control systems (DMCS), and basic CAD functionality.
