Role Overview

As a Junior Project Manager, you will play a key role in bringing global projects at TOMRA Food to fruition. Your responsibilities will include coordinating project activities, aligning stakeholders, tracking progress, and supporting delivery of impactful solutions for our international customers. This position is suited for individuals early in their careers, eager to learn and expand their project management skills, including project coordinators, engineers, or professionals experienced in operations or project support.

The ideal candidate is proactive, flexible, well-organized, and confident in communications across diverse teams. You will receive mentorship, exposure, and guidance aimed at fostering your growth in project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate smaller projects or designated segments within larger initiatives with guidance from senior managers.
  • Maintain and update project documentation including plans, schedules, decision logs, and action registers.
  • Track milestones, dependencies, and risks; escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Organize meetings, prepare agendas, record decisions, and manage follow-up actions.
  • Assist resource planning by monitoring requirements, identifying constraints, and updating resource allocations.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet agreed scope, timelines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Prepare status updates and monthly reports for review by the Steering Group.
  • Keep project documentation current in the TOMRA Project Portal to support transparency and decision-making.
  • Adhere to TOMRA Food Project Model standards and assist in change control procedures.
  • Build productive working relationships with cross-functional and international stakeholders.
  • Communicate clearly through established reporting channels.
  • Support activities related to project start-up, handover, and lessons learned.
  • Take ownership of your professional development and progressively assume greater responsibilities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong foundation in project management principles, with 1 to 3 years experience in coordination or support roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare effective reports and presentations.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical abilities and sound judgment for escalating issues.
  • Proficiency with standard business and project management tools.
  • Fluent English language skills; additional languages are a plus.

Preferred Development Areas

  • Experience or exposure to technology-driven or international business contexts.
  • Capability to manage complex projects and translate objectives into actionable plans.
