Role Description

As a Recycling Centre Attendant, colloquially known as a ‘Looper,’ you will work collaboratively with a dedicated team committed to environmental stewardship. You will be pivotal in ensuring customers enjoy a positive and efficient experience at our recycling centres, representing the TOMRA brand positively across Australia. Your responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, ensuring machines are operational, and supporting the overall functionality of the centre.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to create a welcoming and satisfying experience for visitors.
• Maintain the recycling centre's cleanliness, orderliness, and safety to foster a professional environment for both staff and customers.
• Conduct routine cleaning and upkeep of reverse vending machines and sorting apparatus.
• Manage sorting equipment efficiency by removing and swapping out full collection bins promptly.
• Monitor the facility for hazards and promptly report any safety concerns.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Candidate Qualifications

• Demonstrated enthusiasm for environmental sustainability and recycling initiatives.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to keeping the workspace clean and orderly.
• Commitment to safety with an understanding that everyone deserves a safe work environment.
• Proven experience delivering face-to-face customer service.
• Physical capability to perform tasks involving manual lifting.
