Junior Maintenance Technician - ULD

As a Junior Maintenance Technician, you will assist senior technicians by supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairs for equipment, vehicles, and machinery handled by dnata Technical Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and plan daily tasks effectively within your assigned work area.
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping standards in workshops and work zones while properly caring for all tools.
• Support diagnosing and repairing faults in equipment, vehicles, and plant during breakdowns to reduce downtime.
• Record all maintenance work performed during shifts promptly in logbooks and work orders, following safety protocols to prevent injury or equipment damage.
• Notify senior technicians of necessary spare parts and tools to aid timely completion of maintenance jobs.
• Assist in scheduled maintenance procedures compliant with manufacturer guidelines, ISO certifications, safety rules, and legal regulations ensuring optimal equipment utilization.
• Participate in daily inspections of equipment and vehicles to uphold operational safety and reliability, aiding corrective maintenance and accident prevention.
• Carry out assigned Unit Load Device (ULD) repair and assembly tasks in line with manufacturer procedures, MOE standards, and EASA/GCAA safety regulations.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in facilities maintenance, auto or electrical mechanics.
• Possession of a 2-year Trade Certificate in a relevant engineering field.
• Previous work experience in maintenance within large organizations, preferably in aviation ground support or cargo handling sectors.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, electronic, automotive, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems of light vehicles or material handling equipment.
• Experience maintaining Ground Support Equipment (GSE) or heavy vehicles is a plus.
• Additional training in hydraulics, lifting machinery, conveyors, material handling equipment, PLC systems, motor controls (AC/DC), traction batteries, and charging systems is advantageous.
• Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Valid UAE or home country driving license.
• License for operation of specific equipment (ADP) as applicable.
• Good knowledge of Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE), EASA/GCAA rules, and safety standards at the ULD Workshop.
