Junior Audio Editor

Position Overview

The Junior Audio Editor will be an essential member of the global Audio Services team, supporting various editorial tasks within the department. This role involves contributing to daily audio post-production activities, managing deliverables, maintaining client communications, and upholding quality standards across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with other editorial staff within the audio department.
• Assist the Audio Services Manager and global Audio Services team with day-to-day operations and oversee materials that must be delivered via digital platforms.
• Conduct audio editing tasks including tracklaying, cleanup, synchronization, and conforming audio to different picture cuts.
• Perform thorough technical quality checks (QC) on audio content before delivery to clients.
• Ensure all client deliverables are complete and dispatched punctually according to technical specifications.
• Manage file ingestion of audio data onto facility servers and systems and handle proper archiving of relevant materials.
• Maintain and update client-related spreadsheets and trackers.
• Communicate effectively with clients, client service representatives, and account managers.
• Utilize internal administrative tools and processes efficiently.
• Provide guidance and support to colleagues as necessary.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working extended hours or weekends when required to meet operational or client deadlines.
• Undertake other reasonable tasks as requested by the management.

Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of two years' experience in audio post-production.
• Strong knowledge of film sound technology and post-production workflows, including proficiency with Avid Pro Tools and familiarity with various audio file formats.
• Experience in audio quality control with a firm grasp of Avid Pro Tools.
• Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight client deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment and help achieve group goals.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to fast-paced work settings and readiness to learn new technologies and assume additional responsibilities.
