Role Overview

As a Junior Accounts Payable Accountant, you will manage vendor payments efficiently across the company's German and US operations. This role offers an opportunity to develop expertise in end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes, specifically focusing on German VAT regulations, invoice compliance, and vendor management within a dynamic and growing multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify vendor invoices by coding them and matching them to related purchase orders.
• Track pending approvals, liaise with vendors for invoice corrections, and respond to payment inquiries.
• Review and validate employee expense reports, travel bookings, and corporate card use, including following up on missing documentation.
• Assist with vendor onboarding procedures and updates to vendor banking details.
• Prepare payment runs and perform regular reconciliation of vendor accounts and accounts payable records.
• Support month-end closing activities by reviewing subledgers and aging reports, providing accrual data as needed.

Candidate Profile

• Practical experience handling Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing and coding.
• Completion of a German apprenticeship (e.g., Steuerfachangestellte/r) or a business administration degree with a focus on finance or accounting.
• Fluency in German (C1+) and English, with comfort in reviewing German invoices and managing vendor communications in German.
• A working knowledge of German VAT rules applicable to incoming invoices.
• Strong attention to detail capable of maintaining accuracy when managing high volumes of transactions.

Desirable Qualifications

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Airbase, or similar Procure-to-Pay software platforms.
• Experience working within a multi-entity business structure.
• Skills in purchase order matching and vendor master data maintenance.

Recruitment Process
