Java Technical Lead

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Java Technical Lead to oversee the design and development of scalable, distributed microservices-based systems. This role demands strong architectural insight, hands-on programming expertise, and leadership capabilities to drive high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement large-scale distributed systems utilizing microservices architecture.
• Possess a deep understanding of application, infrastructure, and security architectures, including key non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, reliability, and availability.
• Convert functional requirements into robust design solutions.
• Collaborate closely with technical subject matter experts to gather and fulfill requirements effectively.
• Establish best practices and standards for microservice implementation across teams.
• Define and promote reusable implementation patterns to improve development efficiency.
• Lead development of accelerators and tools aimed at enhancing quality and delivery speed.
• Evaluate and recommend industry technologies to optimize service design, considering factors like cost, portability, compatibility, and usability.
• Adapt and modify technologies, platforms, and systems to match customer and operational needs.
• Continuously seek innovative ways to improve technology, platforms, and systems management and utilization.
• Identify design-related risks, propose alternative solutions, and advocate for optimal problem resolutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with over 7 years of technical experience in architecture design, backend systems integration, and development.
• Strong proficiency in building applications using Java/J2EE, with extensive experience in the Spring Boot framework.
• In-depth understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices design, RESTful APIs, and SOAP services development.
• Hands-on experience with core Java (Java 8+), Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and testing frameworks such as JUnit and Cucumber.
• Expertise in design patterns and clean coding practices.
• Proficient in developing scalable Java microservices, including RESTful APIs and SOAP services.
• Experience working with middleware and messaging systems like MQ, JMS, Kafka, alongside event-driven architectural patterns.
• Familiarity with Spring Cloud ecosystem.
• Knowledge of API management via API gateways.
• Practical experience crafting deployment pipelines for Java microservices on Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong capabilities in defining Swagger specifications for REST APIs and thorough understanding of REST principles and guidelines.
• Demonstrated familiarity with OAuth token-based authentication protocols.
• Knowledgeable about PCI compliance and secure coding standards.
• Experienced in MS SQL Server including data modeling, query development, and performance tuning.
