Job Description
This role requires an experienced Java Software Engineer with a deep technical expertise in Java 8, 11, or 17 and associated frameworks. Candidates will design and implement scalable microservices and RESTful APIs, leveraging modern technologies and cloud platforms.
Core Development Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java applications using versions 8, 11, or 17 with extensive hands-on coding.
- Utilize Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data frameworks to build robust backend services.
- Design and implement microservices architectures with effective service decomposition and API contracts.
- Create and maintain REST APIs, handling JSON payloads and using OpenAPI/Swagger for documentation.
- Work with Kafka for message production, consumption, and partition management.
- Manage data persistence using MongoDB, including working with document models, indexing, aggregations, and performance optimizations.
- Deploy and manage applications within OpenShift or AWS cloud environments.
Integration and Messaging
- Implement RESTful integrations with upstream and downstream systems.
- Have practical experience with Kafka for messaging purposes, preferred but important for system integrations.
