Java Software Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Software Engineer specializing in designing and maintaining scalable and reliable IT solutions. The role focuses on building new software products as well as enhancing existing ones through modern techniques and agile development practices.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and implement new software systems and maintain existing applications using contemporary technologies and agile methodologies.
• Proactively address challenges and ensure timely delivery of projects with a solutions-oriented approach.
• Apply up-to-date software development standards to produce secure, scalable, and robust products integrated within the enterprise environment.
• Analyze and translate business needs into technical solutions, iteratively improving software components.
• Support production environments by quickly resolving defects and deploying fixes to maintain system reliability.
• Collaborate closely within agile teams and across a global agile framework to deliver high-quality software.

Team Context

The position is part of the Advisory crew within the "Save, Protect, and Grow My Investments" Stream, focused on transforming investment experiences in the digital era. This team builds and enhances critical advisory tools, including GRACE — the Global Risk Analytics & Calculation Engine.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• At least five years of hands-on experience developing applications using Java and Spring, preferably within the financial services industry.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in software engineering or a related discipline.
• Expertise in backend development utilizing Java 25, Spring Boot 3.5, REST APIs, and batch processes.
• Experience with Angular 20 for frontend development is advantageous.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and deployment on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Proficiency in Azure PostgreSQL and other relational database systems.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and security standards for APIs.
• Curiosity about leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance software development, with a commitment to ethical and compliant application.
