Junior Software Engineer (Java, Python, AI)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering group in Doha. This position involves designing and developing scalable, secure software systems focusing on Java, Python, and AI-driven intelligent agents. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to create innovative software solutions that enhance business workflows and user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain efficient, scalable software applications using Java and Python.
• Architect and deploy AI agents integrated with business processes to improve functionality and usability.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and researchers to transform requirements into robust software solutions.
• Participate in architectural planning and strategy discussions to establish long-term system goals.
• Keep abreast of the latest trends in AI, agent-based technology, and distributed system design.
• Innovate by experimenting with new tools and techniques in AI and backend development.

About the Team

The role is based within the delivery team in Qatar, collaborating globally with the broader IT department to deliver reliable IT services that support our clients’ asset and investment management needs.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with approximately three years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Python programming, along with solid understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience in constructing and deploying AI or machine learning-based systems or intelligent agents.
• Knowledge of distributed systems architecture, APIs, and microservice frameworks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure and tools like Docker and Kubernetes for containerization.
• Capability to analyze, interpret, and disseminate complex information while managing multiple deadlines effectively.
